Cherokee Medicine Wheel Intensive Workshop

Friday, June 5: 6:30pm to 8:30pm and Saturday, June 6: 10am to 5pm

Walk the Wheel and learn to build your own!

Together in Sacred Circle, we connect to share the experience of learning meaning of Wheel and the experience of building a Medicine Wheel, honoring the tradition passed down through generations.

Through a guided journey, you learn the spiritual aspect of the Wheel, the aliveness of it. The Wheel is a vibrant prayer of gratitude to All Our Relations.

Gather your own stones to respectfully and learn how to build a small Medicine Wheel in ceremony. It is a wheel of time and so much more, an honoring of the Earth.

Over thirty years ago, Starfeather was given this teaching, and permission to share it, in a special ceremony performed by her friend and Cherokee mentor, WhiteHorse. A Medicine Wheel was placed on her land at that time and remains a vortex of peace.

Fee upon registration: $125. sliding scale, $95 - $125.

What is Trance Drumming?

We're evloving!  Our ceremony is fluid and may also include sound healing and a spiritual energetic transmition and Language of Light message.

Following our introduction, prayers and sharing, we drum for an hour without talking or singing. You may choose to sit or move without drumming at any time, but our commitment is to keep the Grandmother Drum's sound going for the duration.

Sound Healing in this way opens us to Source Energy, Ancestors and Spirit Guides as we move into that delicious expansive space of no mind. Truthfully, it is hard to explain and each persons experience is unique, but it has a over-riding feeling of Love and being held by Mother Earth and All That Is.

After our hour of drumming, we sit in silence, deep silence for 10 minutes or so. This time is precious as we complete our "download" of spiritual guidance and integrate it.

Newly added to this potent time is a  heart expansion with Starfeather's extraordinary singing bowl and Language of Light offering.

 And then, we pass the Talking Stick to share our experience if we choose.
And close with a prayer.

Embellish your drum, make a rawhide rattle, tlaking stick, smudge fan, or enjoy creative play with lots of choices of materials that inspire.
